Avoid Mis-use of Password
To avoid mis-use or unauthorized use of your accounts, we strongly
encourage you to
change
your passwords regularly (AT LEAST ONCE IN TWO WEEKS) and to
use passwords
that are
not easy to guess.
For example, easy to guess passwords are :
- Your name / Surname
- Your spouse's / children's names
- Name of your office / workplace
- Commonly used words or words easily found in dictionaries.
Good passwords would be :
- Combination of two or more words.
- Word formed by combination of two or more words or using
a combination of Upper
and lower case letter.
- A combination of letters and numbers
- A combination of letters and special characters.
For reasons of security, please note that Mercantile will not
entertain password change
requests
made over the phone. You must either use this web based password-change-procedure
or if you
have forgotten your password you are requested to come to our
office to get a new
password.
