NetDial
is one of the many services provided by Mercantile Communications
Private Limited and is designed for organizations with
a single Local Area Network (LAN) and wants the users
in the LAN to access the Internet through a single machine
on the LAN which is connected by a dial-up modem. That
is all the users in the LAN can access the Internet by
using the single link at the same time. This is a dial-up
on demand connection which means that the connection is
made to Mercantile if any of the users in the LAN need
to access the Internet. If there is no traffic between
Mercantile and the customer using NetDial, the gateway
will automatically disconnect (or in other words hang-up
the phone) after a pre-defined time limit. Hence the customer
pays for the time user are connected
to Mercantile only.
